>>4130766You lack experience, it seems to me. I've been using old lenses constantly for the last 15 digital (for me) years. From Nikon D40 to Fuji X-T20. On mirrorless cameras, it is mainly with the help of focus peaking, sometimes due to zooming in on the frame. I don't have money for interesting modern lenses, so I had to learn to use my old legacy ones. In general, I'm quite satisfied with the result. But the whole idea here is to learn from mistakes (and messed up shots) and not run to an autofocus lens safe space as soon as something goes wrong. Many of those who discover the world of manual focusing abandon this idea after 5 minutes because focusing does not work by itself. And although it is not difficult and does not take long to learn, especially with modern technologies, this process does require a little diligence (and failed shots). Just don't give up on this matter and it will be better in a day or two!
