>>2696802Those are all probably better 28mm lenses but then again those are all either more modern or larger format lenses. There are probably better 28mm SLR lenses of the same vintage but not by much.
>>2696876>>2696877The 50mm f1.4 is better because it's sharper and has a more tame out of focus area (even better on the later 50mm f1.4 because it has more aperture blades). I always want to get rid of my 57mm F1.4(s, I have many) but the rendering, not only in the out of focus area, is so good. It screams "old film lens". The 50mm f1.4 is just a good lens that performs almost like modern lens. The 57mm f1.4 rendering is just so good and I think it's sharp enough. Every time I take pictures with it I'm surprised with how nice the pictures look.
I have so many lenses that I feel like I have too many normal lenses for the same system. The 50mm f1.4 is a good all around lens, the 50mm f1.7 is super sharp stopped down, small and light, the 57mm f1.4 looks more like classic film than any other lens I have and I even use it as a portrait lens. I have even gotten nice pictures from the 52mm f1.8.
Whenever I think about the lenses I want to keep I always want to get rid of the 57mm but when I look at the images I want to keep it.
I though the day would never come when people on /p/ would be talking about Konica SLRs. Only in my dreams.
Pic is from my newest 57mm that came with a camera. I have like 3 or 4 of them and that's after I got rid of 2. I think I will keep one even though I have too many lenses.
