It was litterally photos of black women graduating, a black girl in a bounce house, gay women at a womens college. The thread basically devolved into people saying that Nat Geo was pushing a political agenda rather than actually praising the art of photography. And I get it, nat geo isn't only about the photos, and incredible stories like the ability for people of color to actually graduate college despite all of the grants, scholarships, and lowered entry standards, is pretty damn incredible, but it was about the best photos of the year and it was clear that they don't give a shit about photography any more.
