Also I've gotten far better results with home scanning than lab scanning. First time I shot Provia I got my scans emailed to me and saw some partially blown out skies and thought I didn't expose right or it was just too much for slide film. I got my film in the post a couple of days later and it turns out all of them are perfect, with good details right from cloud to shadow. I didn't have to pay for my home scans, either, which you also completely gloss over.
