Sony is fairly popular around here atm, especially the a6000; great performing APS-C body at a good price. Native lenses for the system are a bit thin on the ground, but if you're happy to adapt other systems lenses (like your Nikon ones) you have a huge number of great lenses to choose from to suit most requirements & budgets.
Before buying anything new, I'd recommend you spend a while shooting with the kit you have, especially your Nikon lenses. See whether the adapted lenses function well enough for your shooting style (depending on the adapter, you might not have autofocus, aperture, etc.) & thus what, if anything, you actually need to buy.
