When I look at your shot I think the subject is the house with the sun coming through the trees to its left. What isn't needed is all the black trees. Having identified those two pieces of information I crop the photo to place our subject in a more ideal position withing the photo. In this case it's right along one of the 2/3rd lines and remove those dark trees.
I get this.
