I only recently got into photography, and I'm enjoying using my A7III with 28mm F2 lens, but I'm feeling somewhat limited by the fact that it's a prime. I'm kinda split between wanting a wider angle lens or one with zoom. I don't need crazy zoom, as I'm not really photographing distant objects or animals or anything, but I really like the effect of the wide-angle for scenery.
I'm currently looking at the Tamron 17-28mm F2.8 and the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8. Both seem to be really well regarded, especially for the price, but does either lens have a fault that's a deal breaker? Which would be better suited for general usage?
I'm leaning more toward the Sigma, since I'm not sure just how much of a difference the Tamron would make over the 28mm I already have, but any input would be appreciated.
