>>2643497Getting focus with AF systems that are kinda shitty mostly comes down to practice with the system. If you're using contrast detection (assuming the RX1 is using it, not too informed about that camera) the camera wants to find and focus on high contrast areas; in my photo to the left for example a contrast detection system would be very pleased to focus on those treebranches. Prefocusing is your friend with shitty AF systems too.
