>>3750046Unfortunately, when it comes to camera gear, anything involving the word mint - be it standalone, “near mint”, or the absolutely adorable “minty” (I want to smash the face in of every seller who uses this word), should be looked at with an even finer toothed comb than something described as “very good”. I cannot tell you how many “mint” items I’ve purchased and it’s turned out to be bold faced lies.
Jap sellers are especially bad at this, where it’s VERY obvious in pictures it’s not near mint. American sellers are more Jewy in this regard, usually you have to look closer but it’s still easy to spot.
Also, demand photos of angles not shown. I bought a lens with a big ass scratch on the front. It was described as being, you guessed it... mint.
