I'm trying to scan some fuji c200 with the plustek8100 and silverfast but the scans are coming out really reddish looking. there's no negafix profile for c200 so I left it on 'other' (the agfa vista 200 profile doesn't improve it either). set the black point to the film mask and the grey to the pavement, but still came out way too red. had to pull the red channel in the histogram quite a bit to get rid of it somewhat.
I'm trying to come up with a "silverfast only" workflow to quickly scan film but I can't get the colors right. I just can't figure out the "Frame" stuff from silverfast. it does auto white balance based on whatever it's inside of it? shrinking it to only a small portion of the picture results in overall better colors, but the moment I adjust it to cover the whole picture everything turns red.
fucking hell, sorry if I make no sense. it's 2:20am and I'm frustrated with this silverfast thing.
