I stumpled upon the term 24p judder and after some research I'm now totally confused about Fps and display Hz.
I shot some footage in 29,97fps 50/s and viewing it on my 60Hz notebook display it stutters like hell, is this a problem between the fps and and hertz of the monitor? I think it looks better on the camera's display but that one is much much smaller, so hard to judge.
With frame interpolation to 30fps it looks smooth. 48fps looks kinda the same, 60fps has the soap opera effect.
which brings me to another point: What do you guys think is the best framerate for cinematography?
If 24p always judders, why even use it and not a slightly higher framerate that is smooth but yet not too smooth to creat the soap effect?
