I do feel the bodies are similar in in technical capability. The full frame D610 does seem to edge out the a6000 in performance though the a6000 is lighter and can at times be quicker to operate which is a plus when hiking. I thinking to get a new lens and was leaning towards a 24mm for the D610. Its probably the better route as a nice older Nikon lens can be had fairly affordably. This would leave some budget space for other purchases. I like the a6000 but quality lenses costs simply cost too much considering higher quality full frame lenses can be had for the same of less, sometimes a lot less.
