I've been on sets where they've been stuck on an f-stop because of communication problems with the body(Sony F55). If you want to do video, get some roki primes. Better mechanics and only slightly worse image, especially given that it's only 1080 video. Also, the 7d2 isn't even supported by ML and the 1080 frame rates between the two cameras are identical, which is really the only resolution you need nowadays. Bitrates would be a valid point if Canon video didn't look so outdated. Even the A7 looks slightly better despite the lower bitrate. Canon hasn't made any massive advances with their video in over 3~4 years, they're getting left behind.
