>>3745606Sure, but even sunny 16 needs to deviate. This time of year it doesn't even work where I live anymore due to the lower sun angle. At best it's Sunny 11 now. Add some high clouds and it's Sunny 8.
I was responding to someone asking why people say to 'always match shutter speed with iso'. Even with sunny 16 you don't 'always match' the shutter speed with ISO. You start with F16 @ 1/iso and if you wanna open up your aperture two stops you need to increase your shutter speed two stops.
Sunny 16 is really only good to use if:
1) you already have a solid grasp of exposure and scene EV
or
2) you have a quick and easy way of checking your guessed exposures (with a digital camera or if you self dev and can have quick turn-around)
