As a glimps into your present mindset and previous optical endevours I'd say keep on going. Physical optics will trounce shoops everyday (lol this thread is 12 days old).
If you can combine the sense of place with the aesthetic and story telling so far (amongst other things) you are onto something.
At this point (the New Year) take a hard look at the last year (in photos). You know beyond sentimentally.
Lastly, the humour you have shown in many of your shots from the last year have raised a smile from a bitter and twisted old man.
