>>3332053More often then not, yes. I am certainly at my most productive when shooting alone, no one to sway my plans one way or another. Sometimes it's fun to have some company when backpacking though so there's a few guys I hang out with. Though my always-reliable 1am hiking buddy moved last year to a town about 6 hours away from my in northern Wyoming.
Speaking of solitude, here's an image from the time where I have been far more alone than any other trip. 3 nights in this snowy backcountry wonderland about a 14 mile hike in the Canadian Rockies. Had the entire valley all to myself, and it was wonderful to experience the silence and time to myself. I mean I typically travel to California for three weeks alone each year, but you see other people around all the time. This was true solitude.
