>>3562166These are a mix. The name of the film stock is in the border for each shot. Portra and Ektar are color negatives, Velvia and Provia are positives. Both have some great characteristics depending on what you're going for.
>>3562170I really appreciate it. I feel like this year was quite incredible, really set aside a huge amount of time for shooting. There's always still room to grow and I look forward to the future.
>>3562172People go nuts with how heavy they think their tripods need to be. I've heard wild numbers like "twice as heavy as your biggest lens/camera combo" and that's just total bullshit. 4x5 cameras can be quite light. Mine is 3lbs and the heaviest lens I have is a pound. So I'm using a 2lb Really Right Stuff tripod for backpacking. Just don't bump it and practice good steady shooting (mirror lockup if you're using a camera with one, etc) and you'll be fine. The only problem with the tripod is that it's short, lower than chest height. Can be a problem when you need to put a foot in a stream or shoot over some vegetation. When I'm closer to the car or day hiking I use a taller tripod that weighs more like 4 pounds.
>>3562174Most of them are blurry, handheld shots at f22 so I can look at a histogram. I pretty much just fill the memory card then delete them.
