>>3980769If you can find a copy, the Tamron 60mm f/2 is optically great, tack sharp at f/2, easy to MF and doubles as a portrait lens with unbelievably smooth bokeh. Used copies go for ~$170 because it has unforgivably bad autofocus. I really mean it. I bought two to be sure and they're both absolutely worthless. Easy as can be to manually focus though (360 focus throw).
I don't recommend the EF-S 35mm IS STM. Awkwardly short focal length for macro means you're nosing right up to your subject. It's sharp enough and it will autofocus, but it tries AF all the way through its range, so it's constantly hunting. AF is pointless for macro. IS isn't very helpful at macro range (1-2 stops max). At normal distances it's remarkably sharp, lightweight, and a good focal length, but the bokeh is really ugly.
