There's a movie called Rampo Noir that's an anthology. All of the films are good but the one titled "Kagami Jigoku" or "Mirror Hell" is mind blowing cinematography wise. The director is Jissoji Akio and I immediately noticed he was directing an episode of Ultraman from when I was recently watching it. I can't recommend that film and his other work (most I have yet to see but plan on it eventually.)
His few episodes in Ultraman are next level for the time and what the show was (just the company blowing budget for cool action scenes.) Pic related is a shtity screenshot I took, but god damn this guy was amazing for doing random episodes on some Japanese family super hero show.
