I just spent $400 on a used 24-105 f/4 II L lens off ebay. Apparently they regularly sell for $600-$750 so either i snagged an awesome deal or i am being scammed. Im brand new to photography (not counting phoneshit) so i dont know what im in for. Ive been stalking ebay for gear over the last few days and this listing just popped up a few hours ago, if it had been up for days and not sold i wouldnt have trusted it but it seems legit to me..
The good:

The bad;

>seller has zero sales history (has a few dozen positive ratings from buying though, no negs)
Did i dun fuck up on this? I figure the worst case scenario (ie; the lens is fucked or not the version 2 as described) i should be able to contest the sale and get a refund, and only be out return shipping. Anyone have experience with buying gear off of ebay? Part of me is excited that i may have found a crazy good deal and the other half of me is cringing for going balls deep on something that is “too good to be true”
