Old batteries leaked acid onto the male connectors and created layers of gunk. I cleaned it before and it worked and it stopped working again. I dipped qtips on di water and cleaned the contacts again and it still doesn't work 100%. I have to push on the battery door and keep using the power slide multiple times.
I think it's a camera where you pick your battles and accept what you can or can't do. Like, if I shoot dark I go for black and white to get nice darks. It works. I also noticed that shooting with too much sun, it washes out the colors.
It's not pro level stuff but I find magic in it.
This is another finepix image but has discord compression and my phone modified it to reduce the file size. It's not great but I'm happy.
