>>3229036I never know about this guy. He has a gorillion videos. The way he delivers makes him sound authoritative sometimes, but other times he comes across as a total bitch or a little nuts.
His videos on the photography industry in general (ie: no one cares about your photographs) and primes (why fewer elements are better for light quality) both had a pretty significant effect on me when I watched them a few years ago. I will say he probably singlehandedly convinced me if I ever get super serious about events or similar to get a power pack for my speedlight.
Other videos are wacky as fuck. The more esoteric science and field theory stuff is hard to say whether it's legit. Most of the rant videos are just about random shit that may not apply to photography. He says he worked at B&H for years, but then dunno if that qualifies him for anything.
Some of his advice is incredibly practical. Other parts...who the fuck knows. I never heard that he stole pics, but then I've also never seen any of his alleged work, which has always raised some suspicions with me.
