>>3098660My workhorse lens is a Nikon 35-70 2.8D. It's a pull-zoom, default is 70 and pulled to 35.
I've used it for weddings, tours, and back when I was in photography class. It was a little weighty b/c the steel frame, but not bad to carry.
The f501 doesn't have a vertical grip, so if you do get this lens its weight would probably make camera the flip downward on a neck carry. At least this happened to me on my fa, I haven't used an f501.
A lens I'm looking to get is a nikon 28-70 2.8D. A little larger, but the the plastic body would likely offset the potential weight. Also offers a full aperture ring and swm af, so it won't scream during use. (e.g. my f90x)
>>3098671>I also own an F90X and it's my favourite film camera by farI agree. I do need to get mine cla'd sometime, at a bare minimum my FA could serve as a backup.
>>3098668It seems fun and interesting, but often times it can be a waste. Lots of times, it comes out grainier than on color and you'll also have to deal with the orange mask.
Its often better to just develop as color, then either print to black-white or scan or post process as black/white.
At least in my opinion.
