>>4278981camera scanning, with a good camera and lense, is way more than enough
no, you won't get the "full resolution of film 1:1" unless you're basically drumscanning
my lab makes both camscanning and "scanner" scanning, and I prefer the camera one
they send me high res jpg as well as .dng files
The jpg photos are around 10mb each and 6000 x 4000
the .dng files are 683 x 1024 and around 24 - 26mb each
Literally no one needs more than this, it's fucking huge and has lots of details
Picrel's DNG alone is 128mB (medium format)
And if you wanna make prints, go to the dark room and do them properly
If you just wanna give your grandpa a portrait and don't want the hassle, send the edited .dng file to a fine art printing place and it'll look amazing either way
People gearfagging about this are the same ones who never take pictures
>>4278990why the fuck do you need 2800dpi?
honest question
If you're printing something humongous you'll be seeing it from a distance anyway
If you wanna make fine art prints, just do it right and make it all in the dark room
