Talking about people. I'd like to get candid pictures, but I've been too nervous to really try it. It's always shooting people in the back, which is rather unsporting, or bringing out the 5000mm spy satellite lens.
This shot is really botched. I usually have the camera on auto and switch to manual 1/30 indoors, or 1/15 if I'm feeling less butterfingers than usual, and at f/4 it's underexposed about one stop. This time I forgot. It's a pity. I liked the painting because it's rather simple, but everybody else also did, and people of course all sat on the side of the sofa facing it. Then these two come and sit in the correct position, chat a bit and turn around. I got closer, and they slowly turned back, but still unaware of me. I click, and have 1/15 seconds of panic while I realize the shutter is still on auto. It was between 1/8 and 1/4, which is way beyond what I can handhold. First time I got so close to subjects facing me. Really bummed about this one.
