I normally just charge a day rate which I invoice the company for (I trust them to pay which they always do).
I have a project coming up with a brand new client for around 5 vidoes lasting 10+ minutes each, which is a larger commitment than what I'm used to. I've met with them a few times but I don't like the idea of the project potentially folding after I've put time and money into it. So with that in mind should I charge something (non-refundable) upfront and the rest to be payed on delivery of the final product? And how should I calculate this fee?
