video doesn't really appeal to me, but iv'e often considered recording a wideshot of what I aim my camera at.. like mounting a gopro on it, or general wide shots to record the demographics present, and I'd love to have an always on video so on the rare occasions it's relevant I have automatic evidence of the shit paranoid douchebags actually say.
The only catch with most of those is that video takes up a shitload of space for something I'm not really interested in (4 years of digital and I'm already into my 12th TiB of data), and none of the available units have the required battery life, form factor, pricerange etc.
..mostly it's about battery life and pre-event recording. Once I can get that in the right pricetag I'll be shooting video all the time I'm shooting stills.
I'd be interested to see/help/hang with anyone who is interested and equipped though.
I also get asked to shoot video from time to time. So knowing who else does means I can pass that along. Right now the guy who shot that helmetcam image is my only send-to video guy.
