I had saved up enough to sell my ancient a7ii and get a new a7iii, but Sony had a crazy sale (probably to make room for the riv-a) + a friend's student discount got them about to the same price. I treat it like any other sony, but with more room for cropping. With a good lens, the amount of detail you can get is kind of crazy.
