as pic related a very large 86mpx file such as that one would yield a 84.1cm x 73.8cm print if using 300dpi (~ almost retina like)
that's a satisfying print size to be displaying on walls etc
the usual 30mpx 5:4 native to d810 would be 42.3cm x 50.8cm at that dpi
which is good too but considerably smaller
if i had the cash tho i'd just shell out a phaseone iq4 bc it's nice isn't it
