Sigma lenses as an example are multi mount lenses (mount can be changed) so they have one size that fits all cameras but is huuuuge af.
Not to forget you can always put small lenses on the small body, a huge dslr body will always be huge, no matter how small the lens is.
Dslr is the result of an old way to fuse digital with analog film slr. Its huge and clunky (but may fit better in large people hands and some find it balances heavy lenses better) but is kinda like an outdated dino like vhs. Mirorrless comes much closer to film slr cameras in size and weight.
