>>3600455>This might seem facetious question but why do you photograph? What do you do with all your photographs? Which of course links to the deeper question of what do you try to accomplish with your photos, whats the point?Growing up I'd see certain things, usually places/environments, that left a strong impression on me for how they looked. I'd usually go home and draw those things, not directly re-creating them but just using them as inspiration. Then I got into the picture taking thing, and in April 2012 I got my first 'real' camera. I feel called to photograph the things I do. There's no reason other than that, but I think the idea of being 'called' upon by something should resonate with others as well.
The photography and everything that leads up to it is the point. It's photography for it's own sake. I have no deeper commercial aspirations or desires for social media fame. I just like being able to do something I enjoy, which satisfies this "calling" of mine. It's nice to be able to do something for yourself, like take photographs you feel pleased with, instead of having to hope somebody else does it for you. Sorry if this sounds a little pretentious.
>how often do you go back to look and enjoy the photos you've takenAmong the ones I've selected and uploaded to my flickr stream because I thought they were worth my own while? Almost every day, because I love looking back at the good ones.
>do you make prints of the photosYes, sometimes I give them away, usually I just put them in a portfolio I bought.
