i've had an x-pro3 for 2 days now and this is my formal review.
the x-pro3 is genius if you're into this sneaky street workflow:
>pick a fujinon af prime, like the 35mm f/2 r wr, or the 27mm f/2.8. leave it on the camera.
>set autofocus to the wide/tracking or whatever.
>leave the lens at f/8. auto everything else.
>shoot it like a VIEWFINDER CAMERA. not a rangefinder, not a portrait bokeh fort. a point-and-shoot.
carry it in your goddamn hand. keep your eyes open looking for compositions. when you spot something, flip the on switch and bring the camera to your face. it should be at your face for no longer than 1/4 seconds. lift, compose, BANG, put it down again, move on.
f/8 means that even if the camera didn't nail focus on the subject, or focused on something next to it for example... its probably fine.
don't look at your stupid photos. don't make eye contact after you take the photo. keep the stupid lcd screen folded into the camera. keep the camera in your hand, at your side.
this is exactly how i shoot an actual rangefinder, except i would be zone focusing a manual lens. i usually have three "zones" in mind, for example 2m, 5m, 10m. you could zone focus with this camera too, but the AF seems to work well enough.
if you want to use anything but a standard/slightly wide prime, you would be using the EVF and you should just get a different camera like the X-E*. if you want to use the flippy screen, get a different camera. the only reason you should buy this camera is if you're doing extremely based sneaky ninja street shit with the ovf as described.
9/10 as far as digital cameras go. id rather shoot a rangefinder but fuji won't make one so here you go.
