>>3157488If you are a beginner, I'd suggest starting with a macro extension tube set, or even a cheap diopter. Get used to focusing correctly and exposure and such, but without the high cost of a good macro lens. Then, when you are comfortable that you've sufficiently advanced your skill, then look into a good macro piece.
This shot was taken using a macro extension tube that I bought on Amazon for less than $30. I haven't gotten an actual macro lens yet because I don't feel I've learned enough to justify the cost at this point. But this pic shows you can get great shots without the cost.
Don't forget a good macro ring light.
