Okay here's my routine for keeping mah negs clean
>rinse under tap water for a minute after the fixer
>take spool out and shake most of the water off
>final rinse in distilled water and photo flo
>shake water off
>hang up
>come back and hour or two later when they've dryed
>cut and put in sleeve while only touching the outer part of the film (preferably with gloves on)
>clean scanner with blower
>clean negs with blower
>scan
