1. Ebay customers don't care about super high resolution.
2. Ebay customers don't care about artsy thin depth of field photos where half of the products are out of focus and blurry.
3. Ebay probably won't even let you upload too high resolution images without resising them.

So just use your smartphone.
But invest in lighting equipment and diffuses to give your products soft light.
