And while I don't sell tripods for a living, it's funny to see how gearfags are seeting once you tell them that good gear is expensive
(By the way, RRS is more like 800+ here in Europe, which is more than my Gitzo travel tripod)

Took me some time to realise that its performance was really underwhelming, but fortunately was able to sell it without a loss
Whatever you buy, I would recommend buying a) used and b) tripods for which there is a used market so that you don't make a loss when you find them wanting at some point
