>>3191674Funny thing is it actually works, as in sealed body with WR kit lens. Had a few shootings in light to moderate rain and some in snow and the lens never fogged up or went wonky in the cold.
Though in the rain I reduced my zooming action to a few and constantly wiped off the top of the barrel extension so it won't drag any moisture inside.
Extra wiping when I put it away and at the end of the day after downloading my RAWs I put it in a drybox for the night.
Having WR doesn't mean you don't need to care about your equipment
Why other manufacturers can't make the design with a few properly placed gaskets and O-rings is beyond me, let alone premium lenses needing a UV filter for full sealing. (I'm looking at you, Canon!)
It is worth the expenses when you go /out/ a lot, otherwise just shoot with what you have.
