Ever notice how all the amazing macro shots of insects are always of the dead ones? They are focus stacked and look ultra sharp, yet they are dead. I think it is so much more rewarding to catch stuff out in the wild; be is a bee on a flower or lone coyote. The studio stuff always feels more like work to me; at least for the documentary-type stuff. The art-type stuff is something completely different.
