In reportage or news pictures and television it's pretty narrow what a proper exposure is, isn't it? My underexposed shots often feel wrong, image related. Ignore the massive foreground, it's there because I wanted to have a reference sky in the image as well. I could increase the general white levels or exposure, but that would result in halos and aggressive brightness in the clouds. Increasing contrast, exposure or white levels in the valley would draw attention away from the clouds and also reduce the fog. I can't get the image to not look underexposed and I'd like to know how to get that "right".
