>>4096651Yeah, they have to rehearse the movements with the crew, make sure they have enough people on tethers for windy conditions, test whether the tethers are in good shape, etc etc. It's a very involved choreography. There's a large team working on this parade 365 days a year essentially. The ground crew is entirely volunteer based, which blew my mind. Each balloon costs about $1M over 3 years, including all the materials, labor, and so on.
