>>3511258In my opinion you're just not getting close enough. You seem new to photography though looking at your photos and that kind of courage takes time to build up. For me I also lose the courage if I take a break from photography. It's kind of like getting in shape that way, if you don't run for a few weeks you can't run that 10k like you can when you run daily.
Try and get closer each time you go out. Work on relaxed body language and nobody will care. Photos like
>>3511254 are painful to look at, you're so far away from the subject that it's more conveying your anxiety as a person than a street photo. Not only are you far away, you're hiding behind a fence. It's just not pleasing to look at.
Also, step down your lens a bit. You don't need to shoot everything at f1.8. Shots from a distance benefit from going to f4 and beyond.
