>>4281915Most of canon, and nikon's, sales, are bottom tier walmart crap like the z30 and r100. I hope you know that when you bring up market share.
>needingNot one single professional worth giving a fuck about actually needs zooms faster than f2.8 or primes faster than f1.8 anymore except for "blue collar" photographers, read: wedding shitters and onlyfans cucks, bowing to the demands of TWATs - thots without any taste. Anyone using such a fast lens as an f1.2 is doubtlessly using vintage hasselblad/zeiss glass and just so they can stop it down further relative to the maximum aperture.
Who the fuck needs a 28-75 f2? Who the fuck needs 58mm f0.95? When lenses are now sharp wide open at f1.8, and nobody shoots f1.8? And vignetting is auto-corrected? For most of photographic history, lenses like these were one offs for movies shot on film that were promptly put in museums and never used again, and care was taken to avoid blowing the whole scene out with bokeh. Now companies make these lenses as marketing stunts and photographic cuckolds lug them around just to shoot everything at f8 because that's where taste starts.
As they keep on consooming, the top shelf of professionals, well, we're still shooting the olympics on our 1dxiiis, and our portraits on aging hasselblads, because the mirrorless consoomer scam has not actually catered to us. I shot my last event on two 5DIIIs. The industry is now catering to prosumer and hypebeast gearfags and absolute beginners who always need more ___ because their photos keep sucking, they keep cucking, and they don't know why. Oh, and of course, they need to take one wide open shot of the sky for a fredmiranda post and then never use their camera again.
I'm hating both canon and nikon here for being out of touch with actual photographers and scamming absolute fools with bokeh, mtf charts and spec sheets like they all wish they were sony
Protip about sony:
They are the #2 also because of all their walmart crap.
