You won't ever mind spending the extra grand on it once you have it, but you will always wonder what it would be like to have that extra image stabilisation if shooting hand held video. Or wanted the much longer battery life, or wanted the mechanical shutter.
T. Was in your position a year ago with exactly the same decision. Took a chick I'd just started seeing with me to the camera shop and dropped 5k on the r6 ii, the 24-105 4L, an EF converter, and 2 of the fastest memory cards they had. Haven't regretted it one bit.
Oh and she's now my GF, we live together and have much sex, and everybody clapped.
