Finally got my chinese carbon fiber tripod and found a way to carry this over my shoulder for at least a mile at a time, which is good enough for me for now.
Anyone recommend anything that matches a 210mm Rodenstock lens (the one I have now?) I’m debating either getting one lens, a 90mm f/4.5 Nikkor, to be my wide lens and only having these two, or getting a 120mm f/8 SW Nikkor as a more carry-around general purpose 35mm-equivalent lens, and then a Angulon 75mm 5.6 as a much wider wide lens.
Only problem is that with the 90mm I might want bag bellows, which I don’t want to have to carry around for half of my shots, though ofc will be necessary for the 75mm. That said 75mm would be a situational landscape lens and 120mm would be more useful on average than a 90mm. I say that since I am very comfy with a 50mm in small format and when I do want wide I want VERY wide. 120mm being kind of a wide-normal, with image circle for 8x10 so I could upgrade and keep that lens a while from now, and for now have an extreme amount of movements on 4x5.
Any large format opinions here? I’ve considered a Fuji 125mm CM-W 5.6 as well since it’s a stop faster than the 120, but it has a smaller image circle by at least 80mm
