>>3000587From a beginner to a beginner lemme tell you that what gear you have at first doesn't matter much. For $500 you won't get anything spectacular. If you scour Craigslist and ebay you'll find some deals. I got a Canon rebel XSI for $60 then I traded that and $225 for a D3200 with an 18-55, 55-200, lowpro camera bag, and a couple straps. You just gotta know how to haggle a bit and maybe do a little buy and sell. Or save that $500 up to maybe $1200 and get a D7200 with a couple lens, you won't out grow it for years and it'll serve you well. On the topic about if you can do photography, only you know. Are you willing to drop the same money it takes to make a gaming computer into a lens? Would you wake up in the morning to cold ass temperatures just to get that shot with the perfect lighting? Do you feel joy and passion about it? Are you willing to take time and read and learn about photography? It's all up to you to decide. You don't have to be rich to do photography, I'm dirt poor and I still love this shit. You decide if you're up to it.
