You create a thread and get your own drawer with your name on it. When someone wants a new drawer, the drawer that hasn't been opened in three or four days gets emptied out to make room for the new stuff. If you want to find a specific thread by a user, it's easy. It's right there in his or her drawer.
4chan is self-organizing. Our activity keeps the good, interesting threads near the top and the and boring, bad or finished threads sink to page 10. We're trying to impose a false sense of order when it's not needed. General threads are ironically less organized.
