I don't know enough about film but there's nothing here to suggest they're fake other than the good processing, what would make you think otherwise? The lack of motion blur is impressive but he's likely travelling somewhere around 25mph so it's fairly easy to stay stable with a good pilot and low wind
Also it's incredible how under developed the city and the Forth in particular were back then
