>>3082255This is on Cupar Way, separating Shankill and the Falls, some of the most hotly contested areas in Belfast. Sinn Fein, formerly the political arm of the IRA, now has it's Belfast office just blocks from here in the Falls, while the Shankill side of the wall, seen here, has had some of the lower metal siding removed to allow artists to create non sectarian murals and art installations.
I tried throughout the time I was in Belfast to find areas where signs of life pushed through the walls, like the tree tops in this image.
