>>3124657>meme zoom names>primes so good that they are still being produced by Sony>$500 (and I was talking australian)>actual a-mount lensesAll my keks. You know how I know you don't know what you're talking about?
Buddy, if the zooms were "so good", why are THEY no longer produced?
Be reasonable, newfriend. The reason Menelta zooms developed any kind of reputation is the combination of Leica completely selling out on the R-system's development, and the halo effect of that, accompanied by the fact that they had fuck all decent primes, so people had to pretend to be happy with what they had, much like suckers who buy into M43 try to defend muh 5-axis IBIS today.
And all this talk is just pissing in the wind anyway, because there are test shots for most of their primes easily googleable, because the people shopping for them are sony gearcucks. Most of them are falling apart in the corners of low-res APS-C shots, let alone full frame ones.
And then you get to the prices. Because A-mount is so pleb-oriented, both in the Minolta days and now, the primes are impossible to come by, which is why you end up with stupid shit like the single 35/1.4 RS on ebay being listed at $750US, or the 200 Macro being $2200. And I don't care how good you think they could be; they're not better than the Sigma and Nikon equivalents that you can buy brand new for the same price.
