The taskbar is huge becaseu I use a 55" tv for a monitor, and back then I wanted to be abnle to se it clearly without glasses on.
Now I just wear glasses, and it's still pretty big.
I guess mostly it's about being able to see the application titles with the number of apps i usually have running.
>>3914899I avoid any of its 'catalogue' style functions, like import. I just tell it to read a directory by starting it from dolphin in a directory. I actually delete it's databases prior to every start because applications that assume they are the only app manipulating a directory deserve to be lobotomised prior to starting so they have to actually check the directory, and dont generate enormous database assets I explicitly don't want. My OS handles thumbnailing, and xml sidecar files are much more extensible than some bullshit SQL database, thank you very much know-it-all application developers.
